Dhol Pro also is known as a professional Dhol drum. This Dhol instrument is a full size professional Indian Dhol Instrument. It is hand turned on a lathe carved from the highest quality seasoned Indian Taali wood also known as Sheesham/rosewood.
This Dhol is a barrel-shaped drum measuring approximately 23.5" in length, bass measuring 13.5" and treble 12.5" approximately. Dhol drums are double-sided drums; with a plastic synthetic treble head on one side and real goat hide bass head on the other which are played using two wooden beaters.
The Dhol beaters are usually made out of wood, cane, and bamboo and known as the daaga and teeli. The daga stick is played on the bass skin of the dhol producing a deep bass sound and the tilli or chanti stick is played on the treble head producing a sustained high pitch sound.
Dhols are worn around the shoulder and neck. All our Dhol drums have a shoulder strap which adjustable dhol belts enabling the Dhol to be carried securely.
